obinutuzumab + CHOP

Obinutuzumab + CHOP is a combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily for treatment of certain types of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, such as follicular lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Obinutuzumab is a glycoengineered, humanized type II anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody that induces direct cell death and promotes antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity/phagocytosis in CD20+ B-cells. CHOP is an established multi-agent chemotherapy protocol containing cyclophosphamide (alkylating agent), doxorubicin (anthracycline antibiotic/topoisomerase II inhibitor), vincristine (vinca alkaloid/tubulin inhibitor), and prednisolone (corticosteroid). This regimen works by combining immunotherapy- and chemotherapy-mediated cytotoxic effects against malignant B-cells. Obinutuzumab is developed by Roche, and CHOP constituents are widely available generics. Indication includes both first-line and refractory/relapsed follicular lymphoma, and advanced DLBCL.
