Overview
**OBM-B01** is an investigational, nebulized fixed-ratio combination of hydroxocobalamin and deferoxamine mesylate being developed by Original BioMedicals for prevention or mitigation of cyanide poisoning and smoke-inhalation injury in fire-exposure settings. Hydroxocobalamin rapidly scavenges cyanide in the respiratory tract to form non-toxic cyanocobalamin, while deferoxamine chelates free iron to reduce iron-mediated free-radical damage in the upper airways and alveoli.
