Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OBP-001 is a first-in-class humanized immunomodulating monoclonal antibody being developed by OncoBone Therapeutics for the treatment of bone metastasizing malignancies. The drug is designed based on the company's proprietary osteoimmuno-oncology (OIO) concept, which focuses on the complex interactions between cancer cells, the bone microenvironment, and the immune system. Preclinical studies have demonstrated proof-of-concept for OBP-001 in inhibiting breast cancer lung metastasis, and the company is currently evaluating its efficacy in bone metastasis models. As of early 2024, the asset is in the preclinical development phase, though progress has been temporarily paused pending the resolution of funding and licensing negotiations expected in early 2026.
