OBP-2311 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody candidate under development by Opal Bio Pharma. It is designed to target programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), mimicking the mechanism of action of the reference product pembrolizumab (Keytruda). By binding to PD-1, OBP-2311 blocks its interaction with ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby preventing the inhibition of T-cell activation and enhancing the body's immune response against tumor cells. OBP-2311 is being developed for the treatment of various oncology indications, including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, classical Hodgkin lymphoma, primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma, urothelial carcinoma, and microsatellite instability-high cancer.
