Overview
OBT698R is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody being developed by Oxford BioTherapeutics for the treatment of solid tumours. Discovered through proteomic analysis using the company's proprietary OGAP (Oxford Genome Anatomy Project) platform, the antibody targets an undisclosed surface protein on T cells. It is designed to function as an agonist, providing a co-stimulatory signal to enhance the immune system's ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. In addition to the monospecific antibody, a bispecific variant (OBT698/PDL1) is also under development to combine this co-stimulatory target with PD-L1 checkpoint inhibition for enhanced immuno-oncology applications.
