Obuprazine (TRTL-107 / HS-10380) is an investigational, orally active small molecule G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) modulator being developed for the treatment of schizophrenia. It acts as a multi-target agent, functioning as a partial agonist at dopamine D2 and D3 receptors, a partial agonist at serotonin 5-HT1A receptors, and a potent antagonist at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. Originally developed by Hansoh Pharmaceutical, the drug was in-licensed by Tortugas Neuroscience for global development (excluding Greater China). In clinical studies, obuprazine has demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in PANSS Total Scores in patients with acute schizophrenia, showing a rapid onset of action and a favorable tolerability profile.
