OC-4 is a preclinical-stage, dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by OneChain Immunotherapeutics for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The therapy is engineered to express CARs that simultaneously target Interleukin-13 receptor alpha 2 (IL13Rα2), a well-characterized glioma-associated antigen, and a second target designated as OC-4.2. This dual-targeting approach is intended to overcome the challenges of tumor heterogeneity and antigen escape, which are common causes of relapse in glioblastoma patients treated with single-target immunotherapies. By targeting two distinct antigens, OC-4 aims to provide a more robust and durable anti-tumor response within the complex and immunosuppressive microenvironment of the brain.
