OC134

OC134 is a novel eye drop candidate developed by Nanomerics for the topical treatment of moderate to severe allergic conjunctivitis, particularly targeting cases where suitable non-steroidal topical ocular treatments are lacking. The formulation leverages Nanomerics' proprietary Molecular Envelope Technology (MET), a patented biocompatible polymer platform designed as a non-irritant ocular penetration enhancer. MET significantly increases the bioavailability and tissue penetration of active pharmaceutical ingredients in the eye, with preclinical studies showing up to an 18-fold increase in ocular deposition compared to conventional formulations. As of early 2025, OC134 has completed Phase I clinical trials (the SUNLIGHT trial) in healthy volunteers, demonstrating good tolerability and no moderate or severe adverse events.
