Overview

OCM-8054 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by OncoMune LLC for the treatment of cancer, specifically breast cancer. It selectively targets the cancer-testis antigen BORIS (Brother of Regulator of Imprinted Sites), which is often aberrantly expressed in various malignancies but absent in normal somatic tissues. By silencing BORIS expression, OCM-8054 induces apoptosis in breast cancer cells. Preclinical studies published in 2008 demonstrated its potential as a targeted oncology treatment.
