OCT130401 is a combination product consisting of synthetic phytocannabinoids and a medical device, developed by Octavian Therapeutics (formerly Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies). It is designed as an inhalation therapy targeting the endocannabinoid system (ECS) for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia (TN) and other chronic and severe pain conditions. The program entered a Phase 1 clinical trial in Australia in the second quarter of 2024, managed by the CRO iNGENū. The drug aims to provide rapid relief for the excruciating, stabbing facial pain characteristic of trigeminal neuralgia by leveraging the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids through a specialized delivery system. In May 2025, Octavian Therapeutics entered administration and ceased trading, leaving the future development of the program uncertain.
