Overview

Octofluo (also referred to as Octo-Fluo) is a novel fluorescein-conjugated somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2) antagonist peptide developed as a bispecific adapter for chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. It consists of a high-avidity octameric SSTR2 antagonist peptide linked to fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC). Octofluo acts as an on-off tunable activating bridge, redirecting FITC-specific adapter CAR-T cells (AdFITC(E2)-CAR T-cells) to SSTR2-expressing tumor cells. It has shown preclinical efficacy in SSTR2-positive malignancies, including meningiomas, gliomas, and neuroendocrine tumors.
