OCUL101 is a recombinant humanized bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Shenzhen Okejian Biopharmaceutical Technology for the treatment of retinal diseases. It simultaneously targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and complement component 5 (C5). This dual-action mechanism is intended to treat neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) by inhibiting angiogenesis and vascular leakage, while also addressing geographic atrophy (GA) by modulating the complement-mediated inflammatory response. OCUL101 is administered via intravitreal injection and is currently undergoing Phase 1/2 clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with these vision-threatening conditions.
