Overview

Ocular CBD is a cannabidiol-based formulation developed by BioNanoSim for the treatment of various ocular conditions. The product leverages BioNanoSim's proprietary nanotechnology-based delivery platform (BNS technology) to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of cannabidiol (CBD), a lipophilic cannabinoid, for effective delivery to ocular tissues. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid known to interact with the endocannabinoid system and other molecular targets, including cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2), TRPV1, and GPR55, to exert anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective effects. Although categorized under BioNanoSim's "Non-Pharma Track," the formulation is intended for ophthalmic application to address ocular pathologies where modulation of these pathways may provide therapeutic benefit.
