Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ocvlin Plus is an ophthalmic solution developed by Jainson Biotech for the treatment of allergic eye diseases, including allergic conjunctivitis, vernal conjunctivitis, and phlyctenular conjunctivitis, as well as for the relief of eye irritation, redness, itching, congestion, and dryness. According to the manufacturer's official website, the formulation contains chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihistamine), carboxymethylcellulose (a lubricant), naphazoline (a vasoconstrictor/decongestant), and camphor (a cooling agent). However, some commercial pharmacy databases list an alternative formulation containing camphor, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, menthol, naphazoline, and phenylephrine. The active ingredients work synergistically to reduce ocular inflammation, constrict dilated conjunctival blood vessels, block histamine-mediated allergic responses, lubricate the ocular surface, and provide a soothing, cooling sensation.
