Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OD-002 is an orally bioavailable small-molecule inhibitor of Solute Carrier Family 15 Member 4 (SLC15A4), currently in preclinical development by Odyssey Therapeutics. SLC15A4 is a lysosomal transporter primarily expressed in plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) and B cells, where it plays a critical role in the endosomal Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathway, specifically TLR7 and TLR9. By inhibiting SLC15A4, OD-002 aims to modulate the production of type I interferons and other pro-inflammatory cytokines, offering a potential therapeutic approach for B cell-mediated autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), cutaneous lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome, dermatomyositis, and systemic sclerosis, as well as various nephropathies.
