Overview

ODA-611 is a monoclonal antibody targeting PfGARP, the Plasmodium falciparum glutamic-acid-rich protein, developed for the treatment of malaria, specifically infection with P. falciparum. The mechanism of action is inhibition of PfGARP, which induces programmed cell death in the malaria parasite, contributing to decreased severity of infection. The drug is in preclinical development and was originally developed by Rhode Island Hospital, with current development driven by Ocean Biomedical Holdings[1][4][10].
