Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ODC-IL2 is a conditionally activated interleukin-2 (IL-2) prodrug developed by Trutino Biosciences for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors. It is designed using Trutino’s On-Demand-Cytokine (ODC) platform to be systemically delivered in an inactive form and locally activated at the tumor site. This approach aims to maximize immune activation against cancer cells while minimizing systemic toxicity commonly associated with conventional cytokine therapies. Mechanistically, ODC-IL2 acts as an agonist of the interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R), stimulating T cell and natural killer (NK) cell proliferation and activity within the tumor microenvironment. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials as a single agent administered intravenously[1][3][5][8].
