Odc1 native long peptide is an experimental cancer vaccine consisting of a synthetic long peptide (SLP) sequence derived from the Ornithine decarboxylase 1 (Odc1) protein. Developed by researchers at Duke University, it is primarily investigated as a neoantigen-targeted immunotherapy for glioblastoma (GBM). In preclinical murine models such as SMA560, Odc1 has been identified as a relevant immunogenic target. The 'long peptide' format is designed to encompass multiple MHC class I and class II epitopes, facilitating a robust and coordinated anti-tumor immune response involving both cytotoxic and helper T cells. Studies have utilized this native peptide as a benchmark to evaluate the efficacy of next-generation conjoined peptide platforms, such as those linking neoepitopes to universal helper sequences like P30.
