Odetiglucan is an investigational immune modulator designed to enhance both innate and adaptive immune responses. It is a soluble β-1,3/1,6 glucan (a type of pathogen-associated molecular pattern) that acts by recruiting co-receptors such as Dectin-1, Complement receptor 3 (CR3), and Fc gamma receptor (FcγR) on immune cells. This recruitment reprograms the tumor microenvironment by promoting anti-tumor macrophage polarization and enhancing cytotoxic effector mechanisms. Odetiglucan has demonstrated the ability to reverse immunosuppression in tumors and facilitate cross-talk between innate and adaptive immunity. Preclinical studies show it can inhibit metastasis by activating liver-resident macrophages (Kupffer cells) and T cells, leading to improved tumor detection and destruction. Clinical benefits have been observed both as monotherapy and in combination with standard cancer therapies across multiple tumor types[6][8]. It is being developed by HiberCell.
