Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Odetiglucan** is an investigational, intravenously administered soluble yeast-derived beta-1,3/1,6-glucan immunomodulator previously developed as Imprime PGG. It acts as a pathogen-associated molecular pattern that forms immune complexes with endogenous anti-beta-glucan antibodies and complement, engaging Dectin-1, complement receptor 3, and Fc gamma receptor IIA on innate immune cells. This stimulates myeloid-cell activation, tumor immune-microenvironment reprogramming, cytotoxic effector functions, reactive oxygen species generation, and antibody-dependent phagocytosis. In the University of Illinois at Chicago PM-01 study, odetiglucan was administered with BTH1704 and gemcitabine for previously treated advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Biothera Pharmaceuticals originated the program, which was subsequently acquired and advanced by HiberCell. ([hibercell.com](https://hibercell.com/odetiglucan/))
