ODM-101

**ODM-101** is a fixed-dose combination oral drug containing levodopa, carbidopa (at higher and fixed doses than in standard regimens), and entacapone, developed for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. It is designed to provide more constant inhibition of dopa decarboxylase, resulting in improved pharmacokinetic stability and reduced motor fluctuations compared to traditional levodopa/carbidopa/entacapone (Stalevo). In phase II studies, ODM-101 showed a reduction in daily OFF-time (periods of poor motor control), with no significant increase in troublesome dyskinesia, and presented an acceptable safety profile. The formulation aims to optimize carbidopa dosing (fixed at 65 mg or 105 mg per tablet, regardless of levodopa content) to enhance levodopa efficacy in patients experiencing response fluctuations[1][2][3][4][5].
