OGD202 is a preclinical-stage immunocytokine being developed by OGD2 Pharma for the treatment of cancer. It is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of a monoclonal antibody specific for O-acetylated-GD2 (OAcGD2) fused to the cytokine interleukin-15 (IL-15). OAcGD2 is a tumor-associated antigen expressed on various neuroectoderm-derived tumors, such as neuroblastoma and melanoma, but unlike the related GD2 antigen, it is not expressed on peripheral nerves, potentially reducing the risk of neurotoxicity. OGD202 is designed to selectively target OAcGD2-expressing tumor cells and deliver IL-15 directly to the tumor microenvironment. This localized delivery of IL-15 is intended to stimulate the proliferation and activation of natural killer (NK) cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes, thereby enhancing the anti-tumor immune response.
