Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OGD206 is a preclinical-stage diagnostic imaging agent developed by OGD2 Pharma that specifically targets O-acetylated-GD2 (OAcGD2). OAcGD2 is a tumor-associated ganglioside expressed on various neuroectoderm-derived malignancies, including neuroblastoma, melanoma, and small cell lung cancer. Unlike the parent GD2 ganglioside, OAcGD2 is not expressed on peripheral nerves, which potentially allows OGD206 to provide high-contrast in vivo tumor visualization with reduced background noise. The agent is intended for use in tumor detection and as a companion diagnostic to identify patients who may benefit from OAcGD2-targeted therapeutic interventions.
