OHB-201 is a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the human inhibitory Fc gamma receptor IIB (FcγRIIB, also known as CD32B) on B cells. It acts as an antagonist of FcγRIIB and is designed to modulate immune responses in autoimmune diseases. The antibody binds to an epitope outside the IgG-binding site of FcγRIIB and does not interfere with normal IgG binding. Instead, it amplifies inhibitory signaling through increased ITIM phosphorylation when immune complexes are present, potentially reducing pathological B cell activation without inducing apoptosis or cellular depletion.
