Overview

OKL-1111 is a first-in-class, universal reversal agent for anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs, developed by Alveron Pharma. Utilizing a proprietary cyclodextrin-based scavenging technology, OKL-1111 is designed to rapidly restore hemostasis in patients experiencing life-threatening bleeds, such as intracranial hemorrhage (ICH). Unlike specific reversal agents that target a single class of drugs, OKL-1111 is engineered to neutralize a broad spectrum of antithrombotics, including direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs), heparins, vitamin K antagonists, and platelet inhibitors like aspirin and P2Y12 antagonists. As of late 2024, the compound has successfully completed Phase 1 clinical testing and is advancing into Phase 2 proof-of-concept trials.
