Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OL2001 is a small molecule new chemical entity (NCE) developed by Olgram using an AI-derived drug discovery platform. It is specifically designed to target "persisters," which are dormant, antibiotic-tolerant bacterial subpopulations that contribute to chronic and recurrent infections. By eradicating these persistent bacteria, OL2001 aims to address difficult-to-treat infections that are often resistant to standard antibiotic therapy, including persistent *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* infections in cystic fibrosis patients and various nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
