Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Olea europaea pollen allergen extract, marketed under the brand name Depigoid by Laboratorios LETI, is a depigmented and glutaraldehyde-polymerized allergen extract derived from olive (Olea europaea) pollen. It is a biologic/allergen immunotherapy product administered sublingually or subcutaneously for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and allergic rhinoconjunctivitis caused by olive pollen hypersensitivity. The chemical modification via glutaraldehyde polymerization reduces the IgE-binding capacity (biological potency reduced by approximately 95% relative to native extract) while retaining immunogenicity, thereby improving the safety and tolerability profile of the immunotherapy.
