Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oleander 4X (also known as Oleander 4X HPUS) is a homeopathic tincture developed by Avila Herbals in partnership with Phoenix Biotechnology. The product is derived from a botanical extract of *Nerium oleander* leaves and is formulated as a 4X dilution (1:10,000) in a 20% alcohol solution. It is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with influenza, the common cold, and respiratory distress, including fever, muscle aches, headaches, chills, cough, and congestion. As a homeopathic preparation, it does not target specific biological pathways in a conventional pharmaceutical manner but is instead based on the principle of 'like cures like.' A Phase I randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial has been conducted to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of the formulation in healthy volunteers.
