Oleiferoside F is a naturally occurring triterpenoid saponin of the oleanane type, isolated from the ethanol extract of the roots of *Camellia oleifera* (the oil-tea plant). It belongs to a series of saponins, designated oleiferosides A–H, which are characterized by an aglycone core with various sugar moieties linked specifically to the C-3 position. Oleiferoside F has been investigated in preclinical research for its potential antineoplastic properties, specifically its cytotoxic effects against multiple human tumor cell lines, including A549 (lung cancer), B16 (melanoma), BEL-7402 (liver cancer), and MCF-7 (breast cancer). Like many triterpenoid saponins, its bioactivity is often associated with the induction of apoptosis or the disruption of cancer cell membrane integrity, although its specific molecular targets remain an area of academic study.
