Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Olfml3 monoclonal antibody is an experimental therapeutic being developed by Abologix to treat various forms of cancer by inhibiting tumor-associated angiogenesis. The antibody targets Olfactomedin-like protein 3 (Olfml3), a secreted glycoprotein that is highly expressed in the tumor microenvironment and plays a pivotal role in promoting endothelial cell migration and the formation of new blood vessels. By binding to and neutralizing Olfml3, the antibody aims to disrupt the vascular supply to tumors, thereby inhibiting their growth and potential for metastasis. This program represents a targeted approach to anti-angiogenic therapy, specifically focusing on a target that is overexpressed in several solid tumors. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
