Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Olibatinib is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor developed for the treatment of certain cancers, particularly chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). It is designed to target and inhibit the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, which plays a key role in the pathogenesis of CML. By blocking this abnormal protein, olibatinib aims to slow or stop the proliferation of cancer cells. The drug may also have activity against other kinases involved in hematologic malignancies. Olibatinib is under clinical investigation and has not yet received regulatory approval.
