Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oliclinomel N4 is a triple-chamber parenteral nutrition (PN) formulation developed by Baxter Healthcare. It is designed to provide a balanced supply of macronutrients—including amino acids, dextrose (glucose), and a lipid emulsion (typically a mixture of olive oil and soybean oil)—along with essential electrolytes for patients who are unable to meet their nutritional requirements through oral or enteral routes. The product is supplied in a multi-chamber bag that keeps the components separate until administration, at which point the seals are broken to create a homogenous emulsion for intravenous infusion. The N4 variant is specifically formulated with a defined nitrogen-to-energy ratio to support the metabolic needs of hospitalized adults requiring nutritional support.
