Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oliclinomel N7-1000 is a triple-chamber intravenous emulsion for parenteral nutrition in adults and children over 2 years of age when oral or enteral nutrition is impossible, insufficient, or contraindicated. Each chamber contains a different component—amino acids (including essential and non-essential amino acids), glucose (with or without electrolytes), and an olive oil/soya oil-based lipid emulsion rich in omega-9 fatty acids. The product provides balanced macronutrients to promote nitrogen balance and replenish protein reserves during catabolic states such as extensive burns or protein-calorie malnutrition. Its olive oil-based lipid component may be associated with fewer infections compared to traditional soybean-based emulsions and may help preserve immune function[1][5][10]. The mechanism of action is nutritional support via intravenous administration.
