Oligopeptide-319 (also known as SPACE peptide) is a cyclic, skin-penetrating and cell-entering peptide (sequence: ACTGSTQHQCG) developed by AngioLab as a transdermal delivery platform. Originally identified via phage display at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and subsequently developed by Convoy Therapeutics and AngioLab, the peptide facilitates the penetration of macromolecular cargoes—such as proteins, hyaluronic acid, and siRNA—across the stratum corneum and into viable epidermal and dermal cells, as well as hair and ocular tissues. It functions primarily by binding to keratin within corneocytes, promoting transcellular partitioning without disrupting the lipid barrier of the skin. AngioLab is developing Oligopeptide-319 for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications, including anti-wrinkle formulations, alopecia treatments, and localized drug delivery.
