Overview

Sintilimab is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. It acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor, blocking PD-1 to prevent tumor cells from evading immune surveillance and thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Sintilimab is primarily indicated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin's lymphoma after failure of at least second-line systemic chemotherapy in China. It is also being investigated for various solid tumors including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), gastric cancer, liver cancer, oesophageal cancer, endometrial cancer, renal cell carcinoma and others. The drug was jointly developed by Innovent Biologics and Eli Lilly[4][7][6].
