Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Olivederma is a topical botanical combination therapy consisting of *aloe vera* and virgin olive oil. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by pruritus and impaired skin barrier function. In clinical studies, Olivederma has demonstrated superiority over topical betamethasone in reducing disease severity as measured by the SCORAD index and improving patient quality of life (DLQI). The therapeutic mechanism is associated with significant reductions in serum IgE levels and eosinophil counts, suggesting potent anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties derived from its plant-based components.
