olmesartan medoxomil + candesartan cilexetil

Olmesartan medoxomil + candesartan cilexetil is a combination of two angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), each used individually for the treatment of hypertension. Both are prodrugs that are rapidly converted in the body to their active forms, olmesartan and candesartan, respectively. They act by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the type 1 angiotensin II receptor (AT1) in vascular smooth muscle and other tissues, thereby inhibiting vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion mediated by angiotensin II. This results in decreased blood pressure, reduced cardiac workload, and increased excretion of sodium while sparing potassium. Both drugs are highly selective for AT1 over AT2 receptors and have similar mechanisms but differ slightly in pharmacokinetics and potency[1][3][5][6]. The primary indication for both agents is hypertension; they may also be used to reduce cardiovascular risk or manage heart failure.
