OLN324 is a high-potency, small-format bispecific antibody designed to simultaneously inhibit vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and angiopoietin-2 (Ang2). Developed by Ollin Biosciences in partnership with Innovent Biologics, the molecule is engineered to address retinal vascular diseases such as diabetic macular oedema (DME) and wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD). Its 'smaller format' design is intended to allow for a higher molar dose compared to existing therapies like faricimab (Vabysmo), potentially leading to more complete inhibition of the target pathways and superior anatomic outcomes. In the Phase Ib JADE trial, OLN324 demonstrated faster and greater retinal drying than faricimab, with nearly 90% of DME patients achieving absence of edema by week 12.
