Overview

**olvimulogene nanivacirepvec + bevacizumab** is an investigational combination of two agents used in cancer therapy: - **Olvimulogene nanivacirepvec** is an oncolytic virus therapy based on an engineered herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) that selectively infects and lyses tumor cells, stimulating anti-tumor immune response. It is also referenced as GEN-009. - **Bevacizumab** is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting angiogenesis and thereby restricting blood supply to tumors, used in a variety of solid tumors including colorectal, lung, ovarian, glioblastoma, and cervical cancers[1][4][5]. The combination is being explored in clinical trials—most notably for glioblastoma multiforme—leveraging the complementary mechanisms of direct viral oncolysis/immune activation and anti-angiogenic activity.
