Overview

OLX104C is an investigational **RNA interference therapeutic** from OliX that is being developed for **androgenetic alopecia**. It is a **cell-penetrating asymmetric small interfering RNA** based on the company's cp-asiRNA platform and is designed for **topical and intradermal local delivery** to hair-bearing scalp tissue. The drug targets **androgen receptor** mRNA to reduce androgen receptor expression, thereby aiming to suppress androgen-driven signaling involved in progression of male pattern hair loss. It has been described as a long-acting local biologic/RNA therapy that rapidly degrades on blood exposure to limit systemic distribution and reduce the risk of systemic antiandrogen-type adverse effects.
