Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OM-RCA-001 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that selectively targets fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1), inhibiting its extracellular activation and downstream kinase signaling to suppress fibroblast growth factor–driven tumor proliferation and angiogenesis.[1][2][5] Preclinical studies in renal cell carcinoma and lung cancer models show that OM-RCA-001 potently blocks FGFR1 phosphorylation, reduces FGF-mediated signaling, inhibits endothelial migration and neovascularization, and significantly delays tumor growth with minimal observed toxicity at therapeutic and higher doses.[1][2][5] The antibody is being developed as an intravenous antineoplastic and immuno-oncology agent, including in combination with PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors such as nivolumab and pembrolizumab, where it enhances T‑cell activation and cytokine production and improves antitumor efficacy in FGFR1- and PD-L1–positive models.[2][3][5]
