Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Omega 3 Joy enteric coated concentrated fish oil (brand name: o3mega+Joy) is an enteric-coated, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)-concentrated fish oil dietary supplement. It was evaluated in an open-label, pilot clinical trial (NCT00485615) by the START Clinic for Mood and Anxiety Disorders for its efficacy in treating social phobia (social anxiety disorder) in outpatients aged 18–65. The formulation features an enteric coating (idSystem) designed to improve absorption and prevent gastrointestinal side effects such as fishy aftertaste and indigestion. Its active components, primarily EPA, are implicated in neuroinflammation and mood regulation.
