OmegaRx

OmegaRx is a high-purity fish oil supplement containing concentrated long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, primarily eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Developed and marketed by Zone Labs, it is designed to provide high doses of these essential fatty acids while minimizing contaminants. In clinical research led by the University of Cincinnati, OmegaRx has been evaluated in Phase 3 trials to determine its efficacy in attenuating the metabolic side effects associated with second-generation antipsychotic (SGA) use, such as quetiapine, in children and adolescents with bipolar disorder. These side effects often include significant weight gain, hypertriglyceridemia, and the development of metabolic syndrome.
