omeprazole + clarithromycin + amoxicillin + bismuth subsalicylate is a quadruple therapy regimen evaluated by the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital for the eradication of *Helicobacter pylori* infection. This combination therapy consists of the proton pump inhibitor omeprazole, which reduces gastric acid secretion by covalently inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase; the macrolide antibiotic clarithromycin, which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit; the beta-lactam antibiotic amoxicillin, which disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting penicillin-binding proteins; and bismuth subsalicylate, which provides direct antimicrobial activity and mucosal protection. In the context of a Phase 4 clinical trial, this regimen is administered to patients prior to laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy to investigate the impact of *H. pylori* eradication on gastric wall thickness and its subsequent influence on surgical stapler selection.
