Overview

The Omicron strain inactivated COVID-19 vaccine (Vero cells) is a whole-virion inactivated vaccine developed to provide protection against the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2. Produced using Vero cell culture technology, the virus is chemically inactivated (typically using beta-propiolactone) to render it non-infectious while preserving the structural integrity of its antigens, including the spike protein. This approach allows the immune system to recognize and mount a response against multiple viral components.
