Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OmniCAR is a next-generation, universal chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) platform developed by Prescient Therapeutics. It is designed to provide controllable and flexible T-cell activity for cancer immunotherapy. Unlike conventional CAR-T therapies, OmniCAR decouples antigen recognition from the T-cell signaling domain using a modular system based on the SpyTag/SpyCatcher technology. This allows clinicians to arm CAR-T cells with different targeting ligands post-infusion, enabling multiantigen targeting and precise control over T-cell activation—including the ability to tune or switch off activity as needed. The platform supports single-vector, single cell product targeting of multiple antigens either simultaneously or sequentially and can be re-armed over time for sustained responses. Primary indications under development include HER2-positive solid tumors (such as breast, ovarian, and gastric cancers), glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The technology aims to improve safety, efficacy, manufacturing efficiency, and applicability across both autologous and allogeneic cell therapy settings[5][6][8].
