Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OmniCART is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by MicroCrispr for the treatment of various solid tumors. As an allogeneic or off-the-shelf therapy, it utilizes T-cells derived from healthy donors rather than the patients themselves, which are then genetically modified to target specific cancer cells. The platform is designed to address multiple indications, including lung, prostate, breast, oral, and brain cancers. Currently in the preclinical stage, OmniCART aims to overcome the limitations of autologous CAR-T therapies, such as high manufacturing costs and long lead times, by providing a readily available therapeutic option for cancer patients.
