OMO-1 + EGFR-TKI is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of advanced solid malignancies, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has developed resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors. OMO-1 is a highly selective oral small molecule inhibitor of MET kinase, a recognized driver of resistance in tumors progressing during EGFR-TKI therapy. The combination is designed to inhibit both MET and EGFR signaling pathways, aiming to overcome resistance and potentially improve clinical outcomes in patients with MET-amplified or EGFR-mutant cancers. OCTIMET Oncology licensed OMO-1 from Janssen Pharmaceuticals and is leading its development, with a Phase I/II modular proof-of-concept study (NCT03138083) evaluating safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of OMO-1 in combination with EGFR-TKIs such as afatinib, erlotinib, and gefitinib[1][2].
