Overview

**Omodenbamab** is a human IgG3 monoclonal antibody developed by XBiotech using their True Human™ platform. It specifically targets **Staphylococcal protein A (SpA)**, a key virulence factor on the cell wall of *Staphylococcus aureus* that enables immune evasion by binding the Fc region of antibodies and inhibiting phagocytosis. By neutralizing SpA with high affinity (KD = 0.0467 nM), omodenbamab aims to restore host immune responses against *S. aureus* infections, particularly in serious conditions like bacteremia.[1][5][7][9][11]
