Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OMOSIA (澳希亚) is a brand of active folate (6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium) dietary supplements developed by Wuxi Taxus Pharmaceutical and its affiliate Jiangsu Hongdou Pharmaceutical Technology. The product line includes OMOSIA 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium multivitamin tablets, zinc-selenium multivitamin tablets, and beetroot tablets. Unlike conventional folic acid, which requires a multi-step enzymatic conversion process involving methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) to become active, 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium is a highly bioavailable, active form of folate that can be directly absorbed and utilized by the body. This makes it particularly effective for individuals with MTHFR gene mutations or folate metabolism disorders. The supplements are used to support maternal health, prevent neural tube defects, regulate homocysteine levels, and promote overall nutritional well-being.
